Narcissus’ Bloom

"In Greek mythology, Narcissus, was a hunter who was known for his beauty. He rejected all romantic advances, eventually falling in love with his own reflection in a pool of water, staring at it for the remainder of his life. After he died, in his place sprouted a flower bearing his name. The artwork symbolises the distortion of Narcissus’ reflection when he fell into the water and the ripples of his distorted reality consuming him. The pastoral environment and his grandiose wardrobe are elements of his “bloom” into fixation of oneself. "
